Retaining walls, pool surrounds, fireplaces, paving, restoration and landscaping — built in natural stone.
We do not specialise in one style. New stone, old stone or reshaped stone — whatever produces the right result on the property in front of us.
A retaining wall is mostly the work you never see. Footings, drainage and the way each course is bedded decide whether it stands straight in twenty years or starts to lean in three. We build them to hold, then face them so they look like they have always been there.

Around a pool the stone has to do two jobs at once — look right and stay safe underfoot when wet. We set falls so water runs away from the coping, and choose a finish with grip that still feels good barefoot.

Steps get walked on every day, so the rise and going have to be consistent or people feel it immediately. We set out the flight on site, cut to suit, and lay paving on a base built to stop movement and lifting later on.

Cladding is where the detail shows. Joints, corners and the way the stone is graded across a wall are what separate work that looks considered from work that looks stuck on. Fireplaces get the same attention, inside and out.

Pillars and capping are the first thing anyone sees from the street. They need to be square, level and properly capped so water sheds instead of sitting and staining the stone below.

Old sandstone can usually be saved. The wrong repair — hard cement over soft stone — traps moisture and does more damage than the weather ever would. We match the stone and repair it in a way the wall can live with.
